Racing back in action this Saturday night at Florence Motor Speedway May 25th. Late Models 50 laps $1000 to win, Chargers 30 laps $300 to win, 4 Cylinders 30 laps $300 to win, and Carolina Batteries Street Stocks 30 laps $500 to win. Go carts will also be in action. Come see it all for one price $10.00, or if you decide to come in the pits and talk with drivers and watch the race from the pits the cost is only $20.00. All drivers and crew members get in the pits for $20.00 with no other fees. Please come out and support Florence Motor Speedway this weekend. Florence Motor Speedway Readies for 2013 Racing Season

FLORENCE, SC, JANUARY 28, 2013 – While Mother Nature can’t decide what to do this winter, Florence Motor Speedway has been lining up its plans for the 2013 racing season.

The season will open on April 6^th at 7 PM with the Late Models, Chargers, Street Stocks and Stock 4 Cylinders. Prior to that event, Florence Motor Speedway will host two open practice sessions on March 23^rd and 24^th and then again on March 30^th.

March 23^rd and 24^th practice sessions will be held from Noon to 6 PM and the March 30^th session will also be run from Noon to 6 PM. Cost to enter the pits will be $5. Grandstands will be opened and no admission will be charged.

Among the highlights for the 2013 season at Florence Motor Speedway as the new 4 x 4 ATV Mud Bog and Sand Drag facility. February 17^th will mark the grand opening of the new facility with activities getting underway at 1 PM.

Florence Motor Speedway has also made drastic improvements to its go-kart facility. Karters and fans will notice a new track that is wider and longer than the previous track. The pit area has also been expanded to accommodate more trailers and karts.

The 2013 season at the asphalt track will run every week from April to November. Late Models, Chargers, Street Stocks and Stock 4 Cylinders will be running every week with special events and classes to be added at a later date.

The go-kart track runs throughout the winter and summer months. Florence Motor Speedway offers all the major kids and adult classes for karters to race in.

Admission to the go-kart track and asphalt grandstands will remain at $10 for the 2013 season. Kids 6 years old to 12 years old will be admitted for $5 and kids under 6 are FREE. Pit admission to the asphalt track will remain at $20 for the 2013 season.
